    nice post. It will help me tremndously because I was wondering how does a bot relate to a meta tag on a webpage, because I don't use any on my blog. I will use it now.

    Hi Stas, I've done what you have mentioned here but I'm getting it right coz I got this message:

    We were unable to save your template
    Please correct the error below and submit your template again.
    Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure that all XML elements are closed properly.
    XML error message: Element type "meta" must be followed by either attribute specifications, ">" or "/>".

    Where have I gone wrong? Help?

    Great explanation,

    I would like to add some further info here,
    If you want your name to be displayed too in search engines then add this code after vorsta's provided code,
    meta content='Your Name' name='author'

    IMPORTANT:
    1.Remember to add closing code before and after the code i.e < before code and /> after code
    2.Change "Your Name" to your Full Name.

    at the code says ; your name .. do i need to add my web site full name or only blog name? what is it?

    @Soul Existence, if you need an example for the coding, just go to your browser

    developer tools>> view source

    then all html code for this blog will appear and feel free to take a look on how Vorsta constructing his meta here :) I am the one used this method to see those example.
